Tv show:
Astro Fighter Sunred/Tentai Senshi Sunred seems to be awfully overlooked. Then again, as a huge fan of the show I still don’t express much of it anywhere, so I can’t blame other people!
AFS was my absolute favourite show when I saw it back in 2009 (I think). It’s a anime parody of sentai and superheroes, based on a manga and presented in 10 min long, bite sized episodes. It’s a complete blast and perfect breakfast material!
Comic:
I haven’t updated myself on it for a while, but Oyasumi Punpun is completely amazing. I think it might have a strong enough base to make it go around, but maybe it’s a bit too weird/unorthodox to appeal to a larger crowd. It’s a safe bet that anyone who gives it a shot won’t leave unaffected by it. Woh damn.
Honorable mention - Banished!
Game:
Zelda II: the Adventure of Link is one of my favourite games. It continues to get stamped as the black sheep of the Zelda franchise, but I honestly think people miss out on a great game if they’re unwilling to play it based on that statement alone.
My love comes mostly from finally giving it a shot (after having the game in my possesion for almost 12 years), at last making it past the first temple and realised that it was actually not impossible to advance. Due to a bad cartridge my save file was deleted about 6 times but I got better and progressed further more easily with each restart.
(I did however manage to get too scared of my file self-imploding when I finally reached the last temple, though. I didn’t finish it until I played through the whole game again after I got the Legend of Zelda: Collector’s Edition on the Gamecube haha)

I love Zelda II. It’s so underrated and that makes me sad.
